On May 12, 2016 my Clear TWSBI Vac Mini (IF) joined its comrades when it was filled with Callifolio Omi Osun. The pen was in use for 7 months and was emptied and cleaned on December 29, 2016, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

Both this pen and the inkwell it was filled from were Christmas gifts from my wife, whose birthday was yesterday. I have long wanted to try this combination (and it was quite a bit of fun to fill the pen from the TWSBI Vac20A ink bottle) and given that we are to go out on a date tonight, and I am wont to take a pen with me on such occasions, I figured I would ink up this pen now and enjoy it.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

This was a sad disappointment. For months I have been passing over this pen. I don’t think it’s the ink, because I quite enjoyed it in my Visconti Homo Sapiens. The nib is lackluster. I thought I would enjoy having a monoline fine nib but clearly I do not. So, I’m emptying the pen before writing it dry because I don’t see myself actually writing it dry without modifying the nib.
