Thoughts Before Filling

I’m a sucker for turquoise inks, and Akkerman’s bottles intrigue me. Naturally I would end up with a sample of Akkerman’s Trêves Turquoise. When contemplating which pen to put it in I immediately thought it would contrast wonderfully with my M805, especially since I filled my M605 with a grey Akkerman ink. I’m looking forward to this combination!

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I did enjoy the contrast of the turquoise ink in a grey pen, and I think I’ll likely do that again in the future, but I’m not sold on this ink. It’s a nice color, and I do not regret getting a sample, but when compared to some of my existing favorite turquoise inks it doesn’t hold up. It’s subtly darker than I usually enjoy, and has a touch of green to it that isn’t doing it for me.
