On September 29, 2014 my TWSBI Micarta (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Montblanc Leonardo Red Chalk. I refilled it once; the last refill was on January 9, 2015. The pen was in use for 6 months and was emptied and cleaned on April 8, 2015, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

This pen almost begs to be filled with a brown or sepia ink. A little while ago I was gifted this ink, so it’s time to use it.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

This combination will be back, likely soon. I love the ink, and I love how it goes together with the micarta material. If there is any staining it’ll be hard to notice, which makes it much easier for me to use this ink in this pen. I am almost sad to rotate this out but I have too many pens inked so this needs to rest while I get my rotation under control.
