On July 14, 2016 my TWSBI Micarta (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Pelikan 4001 Brown. I refilled it 4 times; the last refill was on February 9, 2017. The pen was in use for 9 months and was emptied and cleaned on April 28, 2017, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I like using brown ink in this pen, and I had it filled with Diamine Rustic Brown but it proved too wet of a combination. So I decided to try Pelikan 4001 Brown, which is a drier ink, and one that I haven’t had in rotation in a while. Hopefully this will be more to my liking.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I still love this pen, and it was hard to finally clean it out and set it aside for a spell. I found that I was not reaching for the pen as often because I didn’t want to use a brown ink, so it’s time for a rest.
