On May 20, 2016 my TWSBI Micarta (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Rustic Brown. The pen was in use for one month and was emptied and cleaned on July 14, 2016, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

This is one of my all-time favorite pens (why I ever let it go out of rotation is a mystery even to me), and I wanted it back in rotation. I also wanted to use this ink again, and since I only want to use brown ink in this pen it was a good fit.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

This ink proved to be too wet in this pen (or the pen writes too wet for this ink). The ink was darker than I remember it, and on some papers (Leuchtturm1917) it feathered significantly. I’m not sure I will use this combination again, though I still enjoy both the pen and the ink.
