Vanishing Sepia

Wherein my Blue Matte Pilot Vanishing Point (0.5mm CI) is paired with Noodler's Whaleman's Sepia (Manjiro Nakahama).

On my Blue Matte Pilot Vanishing Point (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Noodler's Whaleman's Sepia (Manjiro Nakahama). I refilled it once; the last refill was on . The pen was in use for 3 months and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve been invited to share a bit about my hobby with a homeschool family, and as this is a unique fountain pen mechanism I had to bring this pen along. I’ve wanted to try this combination for a while as Whaleman’s Sepia has a reputation of being a dry ink and this nib is a bit too wet for my tastes.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

When the ink flowed, this was a good combination and a fun one to use. But inactivity caused the ink to congeal too much and I eventually had to give it a deep clean. I might try this one again as I do enjoy the ink and it worked well with this nib width.
