On July 25, 2020 my Orange TWSBI Diamond 580AL (Extra Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with TWSBI 1791 Orange. The pen was in use for 2 years and was emptied and cleaned on November 3, 2022, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’d be remiss if my first use of TWSBI’s orange ink was not in their 580AL orange pen. Since I already have an orange ink in a pen, and it has an italic fine, I opted for an extra fine nib on this one.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I really enjoyed the nib in this pen. It had a pleasant feedback when writing. I also enjoyed the ink. Neither of those statements reflect how long it took me to write this pen dry. The only think I can think of is that I haven’t been in much of an orange mood and there were lots of other pens available.
