The Vanishing Blues

Wherein my Blue Matte Pilot Vanishing Point (0.5mm CI) is paired with KWZ IG Blue #6.

On my Blue Matte Pilot Vanishing Point (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with KWZ IG Blue #6. The pen was in use for one week and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I have had this ink for a while, longer than I like to have unused bottles of ink, and now is the time to use it. I had previously used an iron gall ink in this pen and I thought I’d try another. So far I really like the color of this one!

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

This ink proved to be quite wet, which at first made me think there may be something indeed wrong with the nib. Upon reading reviews on this particular ink others too noted that it is a rather wet ink. I did finish out the converter, and while I love the color I will be trying a different ink in this pen next. I want to like this nib. It’s smooth, but I want it to also exhibit the kind of italic profile that I desire.
