On December 16, 2016 my Black-Blue Pelikan M605 (0.7mm Stub) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Golden Sands. The pen was in use for one week and was emptied and cleaned on December 29, 2016, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I wanted to have some Christmas themed inks again. I happened to see a blog post by Wonderpens on the same topic and spied an amber ink that looked rather festive. In the same spirit I decided to try Golden Sands and figured it would be fun to use it in my Pelikan m605.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I didn’t get a full fill on this pen because all I had was a sample, and I didn’t want to go through the bother of using a syringe. I didn’t figure I would really like the color, and initially I did not. However, it grew on me. I want to try this ink again in the future, and I was tempted to refill this pen, but I have more pens inked at the moment than I’m comfortable with, so it’s done for now.
