The Gall of Some Primas

Wherein my Turquoise Monteverde Prima (1.1mm Stub) is paired with KWZ IG Turquoise.

On my Turquoise Monteverde Prima (1.1mm Stub) joined its comrades when it was filled with KWZ IG Turquoise. The pen was in use for one month and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve been invited to share a bit about my hobby with a homeschool family and I had neither a 1.1mm stub nor an iron gall ink at the ready, so I decided to give this pair a try. I don’t expect to keep this around for long, not only because it is an iron gall ink, but also because I don’t have a lot of use for a 1.1mm stub nib. I still really enjoy the pen, I just wish I enjoyed the nib more.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

As I thought, the 1.1mm stub nib was just too large for more than occasional use, so I’ve emptied and cleaned it before it ran out of ink. It’s a nice color of ink, and I did enjoy it when I used it, but I didn’t use it enough.
