On July 9, 2023 my Makrolon Lamy 2000 (0.6mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Rohrer & Klingner Sepia. I refilled it 2 times; the last refill was on May 5, 2024. The pen was in use for one year and was emptied and cleaned on August 19, 2024, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I ran across some old writing in a notebook that used this pen and ink combination and loved the way it looked. Remembering how much I enjoyed using the pen this way I decided to fill it up again and have some fun!

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I still enjoy this combination and would have kept using it except some ink has dried in the nib and/or feed and it needs a good cleaning, so it’s time to retire this combination and choose a new one in the near future.
