Sailing the Blue Aurora

Wherein my White Sailor Professional Gear Slim (Fine) is paired with Aurora Blue.

On my White Sailor Professional Gear Slim (Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with Aurora Blue. The pen was in use for about 5 months and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I was given six ink samples for Father’s Day, and today I decided I want to try them all out! Now, I already have a bottle of Aurora Blue, but I got a sample anyway, and because it was a gift from my family, and the thought counted, I’m going to use the sample. I’ve tried this ink in my Optima, which has a medium nib, so I wanted a totally different experience. This time around I’m going to try out my Pro Gear Slim. There’s something about the white pen and the blue ink that makes me think of the friendly fluffy white clouds we’ve been getting lately.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I still have mixed feelings about this ink. There are times when I use it and am perfectly happy with the results, and others when it looks so much like the old blue ballpoint ink I used to use that I’m dissatisfied. I may have to try it in a wider nib next time, possibly an italic, to see if that makes a difference.
