On August 31, 2017 my Black Visconti Homo Sapiens (Medium) joined its comrades when it was filled with Akkerman #17 Staaten-Generaal Rood. The pen was in use for 5 months and was emptied and cleaned on February 10, 2018, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve been invited to share a bit about my hobby with a homeschool family and this pen is a must-share. It’s been a while since I used it, and I had some trouble getting the nib to write, but letting it sit full, nib down, for a while has rectified that. I suspect there was some ink in the feed I didn’t clean well enough the last time. It’s been too long since I used some of my Akkerman ink and I wasn’t really in the mood for the grey I have in a bottle.
