Rebellious Ox

Wherein my Dixie #10 Red Rebellion Noodler's Konrad Ebonite (IM) is paired with Diamine Oxblood.

On my Dixie #10 Red Rebellion Noodler's Konrad Ebonite (IM) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Oxblood. The pen was in use for 4 months and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I wanted a red ink in this red pen, and up until now I had not tried Diamine Oxblood even thought I bought a 30ml bottle of it. While cutting and smoothing the nib I used Oxblood to test and liked the results. It also helps that I do not have a red ink in my current rotation and need/want one.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

Oxblood is a great ink, and paired well with the pen. I did find the width of the nib was a psychological barrier in using the pen. It was not a pen I reached for often. I may, in the future, cut a different, narrower italic for this pen. The pen itself is fun to use.
