On December 10, 2016 my Black Italix Parson's Essential (0.65mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Purple Pazzazz. The pen was in use for 3 months and was emptied and cleaned on March 22, 2017, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I wanted another purple ink in my rotation, and I wanted it to bring to mind Christmas, so Diamine’s Shimmertastic Purple Pazzazz was a logical choice (because it shimmers). I also wanted to use an italic pen and it’s been a while since I’ve used my Italix pens.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I wrote this dry, using it mostly in a diary for one of my daughters. The purple is a nice purple, but the sparkle wasn’t as pronounced as I would have liked. I would have liked to have seen more evidence of sparkle.
