On November 17, 2024 my Blue TWSBI Diamond 580AL (IF) joined its comrades when it was filled with Vinta Overcast Blue. The pen was in use for 5 months and was emptied and cleaned on May 13, 2025, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve had this pen for a while and have wanted to pair it with this ink, which I have had longer. I already had a pen an ink combination that was similar to this one, and now that it has been retired it is time for this one. I’ve swapped the nib for an IF as I don’t have any italics in rotation right now and I want to remedy that.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

The ink is wonderful, and I enjoyed using it. The nib needed some adjustments and it’s still a bit scratchy, so I will need to work on it more before putting it back into rotation.
