On April 28, 2017 my Black Sailor Professional Gear (Fine (0.2mm)) joined its comrades when it was filled with Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Bordeaux. The pen was in use for about 9 months and was emptied and cleaned on January 23, 2018, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

It’s been too long since I inked up my Sailor Pro Gear. I’ve also wanted to use alt-boreaux in a fine nib, and now felt like as good a time as any.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I really enjoyed this combination, and were it not for the sheer number of pens I have inked up I would have simply refilled the pen and continued with it. I expect I will return to this combination some day in the near future.
