No Stress Earl Grey

Wherein my Anthracite Pelikan M805 (0.5mm CI) is paired with Diamine Earl Grey.

On my Anthracite Pelikan M805 (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Earl Grey. The pen was in use for 7 months and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

This is another ink I waffled on for quite a long time. Earl grey is one of my favorite teas, and I often start my day with a cup, so an ink bearing the same name is an obvious attractant. After emptying this pen of the Grey ink while keeping up with the story-a-day challenge, and given that I enjoyed that combination very much, I decided to reward myself with a bottle of the earl grey ink and give it a try. I have high hopes.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I enjoyed the ink, and I enjoy the pen, and I enjoyed the ink in the pen; I even considered refilling the pen instead of cleaning it. I find it curious that it took me so long to write this dry given my feelings. My only explanation is that the writing I did in the past seven months wasn’t suited to the nib; most of my writing has been in a journal that I prefer to use a 0.4mm nib, and this one, at 0.5mm, proved to be just too wide for me to be happy with the result.
