Model 29 Lustre

Wherein my Radiant Red Franklin-Christoph Model 29 Bellus (IM) is paired with Diamine Red Lustre.

On my Radiant Red Franklin-Christoph Model 29 Bellus (IM) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Red Lustre. The pen was in use for one month and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve been wanting a Christmas theme with some of my inks and pens. I’ve also wanted to give this particular pen a spin again, but with the italic nib from the Model 40P, and I wanted to try a red ink I’ve not tried before. We’ll see how this turns out!

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

The italic nib in this pen brought this pen back to life. I’ll want to try the needlepoint again sometime soon, but it was nice to use this pen. The ink was good, but not as good as J. Herbin’s Rouge Hematite, so I don’t think I’ll be getting a bottle of this any time soon.
