Wherein my Dixie #10 Methuselah's Pine Cone Noodler's Konrad Ebonite (IB) is paired with Noodler's Kiowa Pecan.
On my Dixie #10 Methuselah's Pine Cone Noodler's Konrad Ebonite (IB) joined its comrades when it was filled with Noodler's Kiowa Pecan. I refilled it once; the last refill was on . The pen was in use for one year and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.
Noodler’s is relabeling some of their inks seemingly due to cancel culture. There were a few inks I’ve had on a wishlist, and others that I feel like I would use and want to support the freedom of speech from the original labels. Thus, I have a bottle of Kiowa Pecan and put it in a Noodler’s pen. This is sort of a protest ink for me.
The nib on this pen is a wonderful crisp italic. I greatly enjoy the lines I make with it. The ink is a decent brown. There’s nothing special about it apart from its name. The pen is still a nice pen, however, as the ink level ran low I began to find ink in the cap and on the section after the pen would rest for a while. This caused me to reach for it less and less, so I have emptied out the last few drops and will clean it and check the feed.
