On May 20, 2016 my Makrolon Lamy 2000 (0.6mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Rohrer & Klingner Magenta. The pen was in use for one month and was emptied and cleaned on June 30, 2016, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

Somehow I really like using R+K inks in this pen, and while I usually use sepia I thought it’d be fun to have a splash of color. This magenta ink is a great color and I’m very much looking forward to writing it dry.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I don’t often clean a pen before it’s empty, but that’s what happened this time. In part I blame Lamy’s Dark Lilac ink, which fits my current mood quite a bit better; and in part I wanted another red ink, having cleaned out my last red pen. So, I decided to clean the pen early and fill it with a red ink and see where that takes me.
