On May 31, 2016 my Dark Lilac Lamy Safari (Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with Lamy Dark Lilac. The pen was in use for 6 months and was emptied and cleaned on December 6, 2016, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

Amazingly I’ve not yet owned a Lamy Safari, until today. I never really thought of myself as a fan of purple (and yet I have 18 purple inks), but when I saw this pen and the ink it struck a chord with me and I purchased them. Naturally when they arrived I had to use them together.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

This was a fantastic combination. The pen is lovely to use, and the ink is probably my favorite purple of all time. I’m still on the fence about converting the nib to an italic, as the fine nib was acceptable.
