Idyllic Myrrh

Wherein my Ghost Koi Scriptorium Pens Idyll prototype (IM) is paired with De Atramentis Myrrh.

On my Ghost Koi Scriptorium Pens Idyll prototype (IM) joined its comrades when it was filled with De Atramentis Myrrh. The pen was in use for 2 months and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I am in the mood for some Christmas themed inks, so what better than an ink that is scented of myrrh, which was one of the gifts brought by the magi to Jesus to honor his birth.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

This is a lovely ink, though I’m not sure it thematically pairs well with the purple tones of this pen. I couldn’t detect any scent of myrrh while writing, which is fine considering the lovely color and shading in this ink. It’s a decidedly turquoise ink with a decent range of shading, and on Tomoe River paper it produced a lovely reddish sheen.
