On May 8, 2022 my Anthracite Pelikan M805 (0.5mm CI) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Earl Grey. I refilled it 2 times; the last refill was on May 7, 2023. The pen was in use for one year and was emptied and cleaned on March 19, 2024, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

We’re heading out on a week vacation tomorrow, and I want to bring my M805s with me. I miss using this pen, and I miss using this ink, and I recall they played well with each other, so I’m doing it again, with the aim to enjoy my vacation.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I love this pen and ink combination. I would refill it one more time but I feel like it is time to do a full clean of the pen and reset. I have other grey inks, and just put one into rotation. When that one runs dry I may return to this pen with a different grey ink.
