On January 18, 2020 my Orange Pilot Custom Heritage (Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with Birmingham Winter Garden Snowflake. The pen was in use for 2 years and was emptied and cleaned on May 23, 2022, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve recently missed the nib on this pen. There’s something about it that I’ve enjoyed every time I’ve used it. I’m still trying to get through my list of unused bottles of ink, so I chose turquoise shade to try out.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I still really enjoy this nib, so much so that even though this pen ran out of ink weeks ago, I’ve retained from cleaning the pen because I’ve not yet committed to the idea that I won’t refill it. The ink itself was nice. It wasn’t a stand-out ink, but it was nice to read and nice to look at.
