Copper Orange and Blue TWSBI

Wherein my Blue TWSBI Diamond 580AL (IF) is paired with Lamy Copper Orange.

On my Blue TWSBI Diamond 580AL (IF) joined its comrades when it was filled with Lamy Copper Orange. The pen was in use for 4 weeks and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I couldn’t resist buying another TWSBI Diamond 580 AL when they came out with a blue one. I like the way blue and orange look together, so when deciding what ink to use in my new pen, I opted for an orange I had not used before. I have no expectations with this pen and ink combination.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I am sad to say this combination did not work out for me. I really wanted to like the combination, but I never quite fell in love with the orange. The nib on the pen is a bit on the dry side, and I may in the future adjust that, and I wonder if I would have enjoyed the ink more if it were in a wetter pen. To that end I will try again at a later date. I also blame the weather. The leaves have turned and are now littering the ground demanding to be raked; the ink no longer feels appropriate. We are entering into the grey and blue-grey of winter, as well as the cheery reds and greens of Christmas.
