Copper and Aluminum

Wherein my Copperorange Lamy Al-Star (Extra Fine) is paired with Lamy Copper Orange.

On my Copperorange Lamy Al-Star (Extra Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with Lamy Copper Orange. The pen was in use for 6 months and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I had my eye on this pen when it was released last year, but I didn’t buy one until I tried my Lamy Safari. I enjoy the Safari and since I do not have any aluminum pens I figured this would be a good pen to add to my collection. Naturally, since I already had the matching ink, I had to combine the two.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

The extra-fine nib on this pen was quite a bit narrower than the fine on my Safari: it is quite close to the fine on my Prera. This combination worked for me. I had tried to use the copper orange ink previously but something about it didn’t work for me. This time it did, and I suspect it was due to the fineness of the line the nib produced.
