On May 7, 2023 my Crystal Blue Platinum Cool (Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with Rohrer & Klingner Blu Mare. I refilled it once; the last refill was on August 7, 2023. The pen was in use for 5 months and was emptied and cleaned on October 10, 2023, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’m headed off on a trip into the mountains and I want a turquoise blue ink, but I don’t want to fight with my TWSBI that has Navajo Turquoise in it (it skips and I need to tend to the nib). I also wanted to use this pen as it’s been some time since I’ve used it; the same holds true to the ink. I remember loving the ink so I’m looking forward to trying it again.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I enjoyed the pen while I could use it, but of all the pens I have inked this one keeps running dry without using it. I thought it had the slip-n-seal cap but ink has been evaporating out of the converter with alarming speed, so I’m going to retire this pen for now.
