Wherein my Clear Demonstrator Noodler's Ahab (IF) is paired with Noodler's Zhivago.
On my Clear Demonstrator Noodler's Ahab (IF) joined its comrades when it was filled with Noodler's Zhivago. The pen was in use for 4 weeks and was emptied and cleaned on , saying good-bye to its fellows.
After sampling this ink with an italic dip nib I had to try this in a pen. The color is a green so dark it borders on black, and while I am not usually a fan of black inks I want to give this ink a try in a fountain pen, rather that just dipping it.
The ink was too close to black to be at all interesting to me. I was hoping to catch shades and glimpses of green while I wrote, but it was quite dark and always looked black. If I re-use the sample in the future I will desaturate it some with a bit of water to see if I can make it appear to be a very dark green, rather than a black ink. I in no way regret using it, but I do wish I had seen something more green.
