On October 19, 2023 my Red Ripple Scriptorium Pens Custom (IM) joined its comrades when it was filled with Monteverde Napa Burgundy. The pen was in use for 5 months and was emptied and cleaned on March 19, 2024, saying good-bye to its fellows.

Thoughts Before Filling

I’ve been wanting to use this pen again and I do not have a burgundy ink in my rotation right now. I had originally wanted to use Diamine’s Oxblood, but the neck of the bottle I have is too narrow for this pen, so I’m going with my second choice here.

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I was temped to refill this pen because I really enjoyed it, but I have two other pens with ink of a similar hue and I was passing over this one. I need to return to this one soon as the pen is still a delight, but one I keep forgetting about.
