On August 20, 2018 my Blue Opus 88 Picnic (Fine) joined its comrades when it was filled with Diamine Aqua Blue. The pen was in use for about 9 months and was emptied and cleaned on May 17, 2019, saying good-bye to its fellows.

My wife and children gave me this pen for my birthday. Naturally I have to fill it and give a try!

Thoughts After Cleaning the Pen

I really like this pen, and I quite like the ink as well. I did notice that the first couple of words I’d write on Tomoe River would show quite a lot of ghosting, almost to the point of bleeding, then it would calm down. Nonetheless, this was a joy to use all around. I’m quite impressed with Opus 88 thus far.
